Andrew planned a surprise engagement together with the younger sister, Therese. The idea was to hide as a bush so that Therese could record a video of it. The bush disguise was so hilarious that it went viral on Twitter soon after Therese posted about it.
Therese Merkel is a sister who really can go to an extent for her one year older sister, Rachel. The 23 year old decided to dress as a bush just so she could secretly record her sister's precious moment of engagement.
Theresa shared her hilarious disguise with the Twitterati and soon the post went viral. “Sister got engaged this weekend and I dressed as a bush in the wilderness to watch/capture the moment. We are 1 yr apart.. why are our lives so different rofl,” she wrote in her tweet.

Rachel's boyfriend, Andrew Philibeck, 25 wanted to do something special on the big day and he had asked Theresa to help him plan something special in advance.
“We had an hour-long phone call where he asked for my approval to be wed and then come up with something great for this huge moment. Me and my sister are incredibly close, so I’m like the second string of parents he has to go through. We didn’t make it easy,” she told.
The sister-boyfriend duo came up with the bush plan after several ridiculous ideas. One involved Therese pretending to get injured and calling an ambulance just so that Philibeck could appear as a medic.
“We thought [a fake injury] was too aggressive. But then I was like, ‘LOL, what if I was a bush?’ We geeked and Andrew is the one who really ran with it.”
Andrew bought her the hilarious suit and on the big day (21 September), Therese hid as a bush so well that even Andrew could not spot her.
“While I was hiding, I had the perfect view to the whole thing. Andrew knew I was hiding and wasn’t even sure I was there when he walked down — that’s how baller this suit was,” she added.
“The bush was one of the 4,932 things Andrew did to make the day super awesome and family-oriented. Everything and everyone — both of our immediate families were gathered for a surprise after-party — involved in that day were there to shower love on these two and thank God for bringing them together," Therese added.
Talking about the viral fame that her tweet received, she said, “Maybe it’s not even the fact that I was a bush that went viral — it may just be the warmth people feel when they know how far a sister-sister duo will go for each other."
