Tesla's CEO Elon Musk was left confused and embarrassed as the windows of his latest Cybertruck splintered right after he called them shatterproof at the Auto Show held in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk introduced his new technology, a futuristic Cybertruck during a Los Angeles Auto Show on Thursday. The pickup truck, according to Musk, will go in production in 2021. However, the debut of Musk's metallic, angular truck did not go the way he had expected.
In order to prove the shatterproof technology, Tesla design chief Franz von Holshausen threw heavy metal ball at the truck's window. To everyone's surprise, the window shattered quite badly, leaving everyone in shock except Musk. The CEO was left perplexed by the embarrassing situation. "Oh my f***ing God," he muttered.
Elon asked Holshausen to go for another attempt. The window cracked again and Musk pointed it twice that 'it did not go through' the window.
While the show audience was in laughters, Musk talked about how the windows had been tested before and it was all confusing to him. "We threw wrenches, we threw everything, we even literally threw the kitchen sink at the glass and it didn't break. For some weird reason it broke now, I don't know why."
"We'll fix it in post," the CEO added to the laughs.
