A frustrated mother/wife recently took to Facebook to share the extremely funny shopping list she gave her "lazy husband" after he would not contribute and help around the house.
Karen Alpert, otherwise called mummy blogger Baby Sideburns, uncovered her vengeance by sharing an image of the rundown - which left her supporters in stitches!
The US-based mother wrote in the hilarious post, "OMG my hubby has been lying on the couch all morning while I'm doing sooooo much stuff so I finally got super annoyed and sent him to the grocery store with a special shopping list. And yes I turned my ringer off."
Alpert requested that her better half get three percent milk, seedless strawberries, fat-free hummus, wheat thins - which needed to be in a blue box - unsour cream, double diet coke, mellow cheese, and some organic Pop Tarts.
The chuckle-worthy post almost instantly got more than 60,000 likes, 17,000 comments and 51,000 shares on Facebook after it was shared over the weekend.
One amused mum wrote: "The thing is, my husband calls me no matter what I send him for, every time. Part of what makes this funny!" Another added: "All I can say is, "Thank gawd [sic] I wasn't drinking anything when I looked the second time because my computer keyboard would have been ruined!"
"I am seriously invested in knowing what he came back with...." wrote a third, with another adding "Ok. I wouldn't be that mean but it would be so funny!!" Moreover, Karen posted on Thursday to say thanks to all the people that let her know her prank got picked up by Strahan and Sara on Good Morning America.
However, this isn't the first run through Alpert has cracked jokes at her significant other's expense. In her blog, she hilariously admits that it's all in great fun and clarifies her significant other is a "very helpful, hot, amazing hubby who I somehow fooled into marrying me."
Meanwhile, in other offbeat parenting encounters, as of a late, a luxury travel blogger has admitted that she leaves her kids in the economy class while she flies first class, to long haul destinations like the Caribbean - and she never even feels guilty about her decision.
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Digital, the 40-year-old said, "If a client books us economy flights and there's an opportunity for me to upgrade to business or first class, I would quite happily do that. We have a really good life and I want the kids to understand the value of money and the importance of working hard. They're too young to really appreciate first class."
