Just two days before the diagnosis, moderator Chris Wallace had asked Trump in a live debate about his uncertain stance on face coverings. Trump responded to the question by mocking Biden for wearing mask in public so frequently.
Recently President Trump had made comments on Joe Biden for constantly wearing a "face covering" and the size of the worn face-covering. People find it hilarious that the mocking occurred just two days before the President and his wife got diagnosed with Covid-19.
Trump confirmed that he and the First Lady Melania, had also tested positive through a tweet. "Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!," the tweet said.
Just two days before the diagnosis, moderator Chris Wallace had asked Trump in a live debate about his uncertain stance on face coverings. Trump responded to the question by making fun of Biden's habit of wearing one in public so frequently.
"I don't wear a mask like [Biden], every time you see him, he's got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away from it, and he shows up with the biggest mask I've seen," Trump stated.

To which Vice President Biden replied, "Masks make a big difference. His own head of the CDC said if we just wore masks between now - if everybody wore a mask and [socially] distanced between now and January, we’d probably save up to a hundred thousand lives. It matters."
Wearing a face mask or covering is one of the most effective ways of reducing the spread of the novel coronavirus. The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended face coverings since April.
