This British mum accompanied her son to school and crashed his math class to teach him a lesson for misbehaving with his teacher.
Being a parent is all about having creative ideas and ways to tackle situations regarding your kid, for them to grow up into kind human beings. This British mum came up with a brilliant idea to teach her kid a lesson for being rude to his teacher. What could be a better punishment than accompanying your kid to school and attending classes together? Becky Crandley, 30, punished her 12-year-old son, Harley, for his misbehaving at The Sittingbourne School in Kent by attending his math class with him as a lesson and to keep an eye on him, reported by KentLive.
The mum of 5 took action when she received a call from her son's school and was informed that he behaved rudely with his math teacher. “I constantly threatened that I’d sit with him in school if needed, and he always laughed it off,” Crandley told the outlet.
Keen to take some action, Crandley with the teacher's permission showed up to join her son in the class. “He didn’t have a clue, and he was very embarrassed for sure,” she said. “I was introduced as his mom.”
According to Harley's mum, a lot of her son's classmates couldn't hold back their laughter when she entered the classroom. Her son was embarrassed and probably mad at her too but she has got no regrets. The only thing that Crandley regret is not capturing the moment on camera. “If only I got a picture of his face when I walked in and sat down next to him. He went so red, there’s nothing I can compare it to,” she told the news outlet.
As Crandley accompanied her son, Harley seemed to behave for a while but she was disappointed by the behavior of other kids in class who continued to snicker behind her back. Crandley hopes that other parents just like her would take an action for the sake of their kids' future, “Today’s children are getting worse by the second,” she mentioned. “I think more parents need to act upon their children’s behavior. It’s scary to think what we will leave behind one day.”
Crandley says that her son was not aggressive in any way but his behavior was not acceptable and she had to deal with it.
“Most people know I’m a big softy when it comes to my kids but I’m also straight up and try my hardest to teach them the right way in life.”
“One thing I will not tolerate is disrespect from my sons towards any woman and my eldest has been rude recently in secondary school towards his female teachers.”
“His mummy bear has had enough for sure, my foot is down and I will not lose. If only I got a picture of his face when I walked in and sat down next to him, he went so red there’s nothing I can compare it to.”
