Thanks to a kind-hearted cab driver who gave this dog a free ride, a sick dog who likes to spend time at the seaside but was too sick to get there has been able to get back to her beloved spot.
Golden retriever Reema has a back problem which prevents her from going on long walks, which normally means the beach is off limits.
But the 57-year-old owner Suzanne Clarke was so anxious to get Reema back on the beach that she wrote on social media asking someone with a car for help.
The cabby Paul Brown, 49, spotted her message, claiming he 'didn't think twice' about providing his services to support the pooch.
The trio has taken frequent visits to the beach in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, which is Reema 's favourite location for a walk.
Without a car of her own, Suzanne said Reema was reluctant to reach the beach because the dog was too much for the mile-long trip-until Paul made his gracious bid.
Support worker Suzanne said: "Reema was very sad that she was no longer able to walk on the beach.
"It's her favourite place to go and is so close to us that it seemed such a shame she was missing out.
"He's a lovely man and very kind to let Reema sit in his car."
Paul added: "When I saw what was being asked I didn't think twice about it, I just got in touch and offered my services.
"Some people are funny about having dogs in their car but that's not me, they're part of the family in my opinion.
"Others say dogs can only go in the boot but I would never do that. I wouldn't put a person in the boot, so why would I put an older dog in there?"
Reema, who is 10 years old, has toured the globe with Suzanne and her husband Andy, taking trips to Spain, Belgium and Portugal.
Suzanne said: "Reema has lived a long and exciting life but I think her days of travelling abroad are behind her now.
"She's quite happy to make the short trip to the beach nowadays."
The dog owner added: "I'm really grateful to Paul for taking us there, it has made us both very happy."
