Betty is a unique dog whose eyebrows make her resemble the famous Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. People thought that some bully had painted eyebrows on the dog. As they tried to wash them off, it turned out that Betty's eyebrows were natural.
While many animals roam around on streets, searching for food, some of them get lucky as they find home and kind pet lovers. Same happened with Betty, a lucky dog who was found on the streets of Bratsk, Russia.
“Betty was just 10 days old. She was roaming the streets when they found her," her owner Oksana told Bored Panda.
People took Betty to the shelter. Due to its unique look, they thought that some bullies had drawn eyebrows on the poor dog so they tried to wash them off.
Later, it turned out that Betty was a dog with natural eyebrows. “Her eyebrows are her birthmarks from her mom and dad. The skin where the eyebrows are is darker than everywhere else. So nature decided it,” Oksana explained.
The dog's beautiful and unique look is the reason why the shelter decided to call her Frida in honor of the famous Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo.
Betty's picture gained attention on social media and many sent their love to the dog. Oksana was the person who decided to adopt Frida. However, she changed her name to Betty.
“I saw her in the photo on the shelter’s website and fell in love. Many people called to pick her up but when they saw her, they refused. When I saw her, I cried. And when I picked her up, she immediately fell asleep, and again I cried with happiness.”
Oksana absolutely loves her new dog and plans to take care of Betty with all her heart. “She is a gift of fate, smart, affectionate and loves children. I look at her and always smile. I am lucky to have the best dog in the world,” she said.
