There's Now A Wearable 'ShieldPod' For Kids When Social Distancing Isn't Enough For Them.

The ShieldPod Mini is a wearable pop-up protective barrier for kids to avoid possible COVID-19 exposure when going to school or out and about.

With the second wave of COVID-19 hitting us and the reopening of schools and lifting of lockdown, we need to think of more ways to shield ourselves from the deadly Coronavirus. Especially for kids going to school, some precautionary steps need to be taken.

For this purpose, a wearable "ShieldPod" for kids is introduced for the purpose when social distancing is not enough for them. As kids can't understand the sensitivities of the pandemic, parents are thinking of shields that cover their child from all sides and prevent germs from reaching them.

Early on in the pandemic, parents joked about encasing their kids in a bubble wrap, but after the terrible seven months, now it's clear that the idea is looking pretty practical. In fact, a company, Under the Weather designed a shield taking the same idea of encasing the child in a wrap.

The ShieldPod Mini is designed for children going to preschool through 10 years old. The shield is lightweight and a protective barrier pops open in seconds to provide an instant shield against possible exposure.

The shield mini pod for kids is available for $70 and it's quite necessary for kids to move with caution in these dangerous times.

It also has adjustable shoulder straps and a waist belt that keep it in place. Also, the shield does not confine you in a single place and movement can be made with a 270-degree view of the surroundings.

Places where there is risk of contracting the virus for kids, like schools and playing areas this can be a go-to safety measure that can protect the kids.
