Under lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, which has hit the whole world now but the fear and deaths seem to grow each minute. But our elders and senior adults are the ones most vulnerable to this pandemic. To cope up with the situation, elderly care centers are doing their best to come up with creative and extraordinary ways to keep their residents healthy and happy.
As these elders are now bound to the care centers only and have no family or friend visitations, field trips to local attractions and outdoor outings. These care centers are struggling for the best which was shown in a facebook video by The Bryn Celyn Care Home.
The Bryn Celyn Care Home in Wales, United Kingdom has posted a heartening video of its residents on their Facebook Page while excitedly playing the life-size version of Hungry Hungry Hippos. This video just melted many hearts and the reactions abd comments people gave on this video were superb.
The pictures of all the elders playing with colorful penballs and happy faces is just making our day and putting smile on each face. "The residents really enjoyed playing a new game today Hungry Hippos,” the care center team wrote in a viral Facebook post with over 1.7 million views and 22,000 shares.
The general manager of this care center, Michelle Williams, said that the center has been in isolation since March 12. They have been strict to this rule of not letting any visitors to keep their patients safe and sound.
These patients are spending their time by baking, different exercises, doing crafts, filing quizzes and many more to keep themselves lively and away from all the negativity out there. As this virus is scaring the whole human race as of how to control it.
