Superintendent's Career Ended As She Wasn't Canceling School For Stormy Weather

Superintendent was not canceling school on stormy weather so this parent along with her sister in law sued her for risking the kids' lives. In the end, she was asked to resign and was replaced by another superintendent who was nice and understood the parents' concerns.

This woman's two kids attended elementary school at the northern midwest where heavy storms come quite often. When the new superintendent came and canceled the offs on snow days, the parents got worried. Then on one stormy day, a tree fell on one of the school buses and her daughter was also on the bus. Thankfully there were only minor injuries but the woman took advantage of the situation and along with her sister-in-law sued the superintendent for the cancellation of the snow days. The district had to change their cancellation policy immediately and asked the superintendent to resign replacing her with a new superintendent who was nice and understood the parents' concerns.
