People from a small village in Italy turned on their taps to quench their thirst and carry out their daily chores but they were surprised when instead of water, the red wine came out of the taps.
Sounds like a sweet miracle, doesn't it?
However, the moment did not last long and soon the problem was fixed. It turned out that the Cellar Settecani Castelvetro winery had a technical problem and one of the silos that the wine is stored in started leaking into the water pipes. As a result, the wine got pumped into the local water system and into the homes.
Even though many showed concerns about the incident, the majority of the complaints were about the accident lasting for a short time. Technicians were sent out to fix the issue and an apology was issued by the local council soon after the situation.
According to the Gazzetta di Modena, "residents had bottled as much of the precious liquid as they could to enjoy later at lunch or dinner along with other typical Modenese specialties."
