Unlike most of us, Chico is a nine-year-old Amazon parrot who can stun people with its singing talent. The interesting creature is often seen breaking into a song at a wildlife park in Boston, Lincolnshire. The singing bird has recently been impressing visitors by belting out hit tunes by Beyonce. The yellow-crowned parrot's footage shows him performing the renowned artist’s track If I Were a Boy.
The video soon went viral on social media as people got amazed by the unique bird's opening lines to the 2008 hit. Chico arrived at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park 18 months ago and has attained fame during the pandemic. Besides showing off his singing skills through Beyonce's song, the rare parrot can also perform 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga, 'Firework' by Katy Perry, and 'You Drive Me Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley.
"After more than 25 years working with these amazing birds, they still never cease to amaze me. Who’d have ever thought that a parrot would cause social distancing problems due to being so popular," Lincolnshire Wildlife Park CEO Steve Nichols told. Talking about the fame of Chico, 54-year-old Graham Gardner who is a regular park guest, told Chico had proved a star attraction at the park since he arrived.
"People can't get enough of him, there's always a line of people waiting to see him - it's like he's an actual pop star at times. He'll just break into song randomly and it leaves people in hysterics. He's actually got a very good voice. Maybe Simon Cowell might get in touch, you never know," he said.
