KABC-TV Ledlie Lopez was having a live weather forecast when her 10-months-old son decided to show up in the middle of the forecast at 5 in the morning. It was Lopez’s colleague, and ABC7 News anchor Brandi Hitt, who shared the video on Twitter, which soon got widely shared across social media.
Working from home never was easy for mothers especially those who had toddlers or babies attached to them. It seems like a full-time duty with these children even when it's 5 in the morning.
This meteorologist was working from home amidst the COVID-19 situation for KABC-TV. But something happened which even she couldn't control. It was when a surprise visitor interrupted her morning weather forecast, making for one adorable news blooper.
The surprise visitor was Lopez's adorable 10-month-old son, Nolan, who entered slowly crawling onto her leg live on air as Lopez was in the middle of her forecast. First, the little baby is seen crawling, and then he gets up holding Lopez's leg.
That was when she picked him up and laughed it off like a pro and scooped up baby Nolan for a little on-camera time. She did it perfectly without losing eye contact with the viewers.
Lopez said Nolan recently learned how to walk and decided to show off his skills at 5:40 a.m. while all of America watched.
She said, "He walks now guys, so I've lost all control." And actually, she is right. You can't actually stop a toddler from walking or doing anything.
The video has gotten attention from celebrities including retweets from Elizabeth Banks and Dan Rather who commented, "Sometimes working from home means unexpected cameos."
Baby on the move! There is no stopping adorable Nolan now that he can walk during Mommy’s (@abc7leslielopez) forecast. #Love #goodmorning #ThursdayThoughts #Babies #TheBest @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/jvUcaSMyGi— Brandi Hitt (@ABC7Brandi) January 28, 2021
The video of this adorable interruption is reminding parents that no one is exempt from the pandemic work-life "balance."
