This husband cheated on her wife with her friend of 25 years. The wife immediately broke up with him, and took revenge by leaving her 'wedding dress' on their porch - along with a note welcoming his new girlfriend to her 'secondhand goods'.
Karen and Terry had been married for 19 years but broke up when Terry cheated on her with her friend of 25 years. When Karen found out, she immediately broke up with him and took revenge by leaving her 'wedding dress' on their porch - along with a note welcoming his new girlfriend to her 'secondhand goods'. After that, Karen changed her surname and moved on.
Karen Dineen, 57, and Terry Lovell, 53, had been together for 19 years and Carol and her ex-husband had been Karen's friends for 25 years, not only this even her and Carol's children were friends.
She decided to take her revenge which she took by leaving her wedding dress on their porch - along with a note welcoming his new girlfriend to her 'secondhand goods'.
That's the picture of the 'wedding dress' that she left on her estranged husband's new girlfriend's porch.
After their break up, Karen decided to clear their place when she came across the wedding dress she had married Terry in. She decided to donate the dress to her former pal, left it in her porch with a sweet revenge note.
Karen said: 'He's the spawn of the devil. He's a piece of work. He never said, "Karen I don't love you, I don't want to be with you anymore."'
'That would have been fine. That would have been a shock, but not as much as this.'
'They were my friends and when I met Terry, Carol's husband became friends with him. It's vile. '
'I saw the wedding dress when I was packing up my house, and thought, "she can f***ing have this"'.
'Leaving a wedding dress and putting that note through the door I knew there was nothing they could do. I was shaking like a kid at Christmas with excitement.
'I've got nothing to hide. That bird was a friend of mine for 25 years. I was with him for 19 years.
'I've been single for four years. When I chucked him out I got a chihuahua, who is cleaner, more loyal and more faithful. I got the better end of the deal there. Win-win.
'I don't miss him or love him or pine for him. As soon as I saw those text messages it was over. I knew it was over.'
'But the way he did it, with the lies and the sneaking around. He'd be sitting in the front room with me looking at text messages on his phone.'
'I just think that's the lowest of the low. It's despicable.'
'It was a betrayal. Neighbors and friends knew about it and never told me.'
'I knew something was going on,' explained Karen. 'He was a builder, and he would come home from work, get changed and say he's got to go and look at a job.
'He used to ring me and say he had to look at a job in all his work clothes.
'He started coming home, having a shower and saying he was going to look at a job.'
'I wondered what was going on because after living with someone for so long years, any little changes you notice.'
'That Christmas he bought me a £700 diamond ring which just had guilt written all over it. [I found] a receipt for this ring from the jeweller's and a receipt for two 100ml bottles of Opium perfume.
'What he was thinking was, he will buy both of us Opium so when he comes in smelling of it it's my perfume.
'So, after that, I knew something was going on. Something in me said, keep your eyes and ears open and mouth shut.'
'I make a brilliant friend but a terrible enemy, and he was making such an enemy of me. I knew he was seeing someone from Christmas.'
'Around Valentine's Day, I remember him saying something like, "I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life" so I said, "I thought I was part of it?'" 'He said, "you are, but I don't know what I want to do, just give me time"'.
'I thought, '"You can have all the f***ing time you like, mate" so I started making plans. I started getting rid of stuff, selling stuff.'
Karen somehow managed to know Terry's phone password.
'One night it was like my body became possessed, I paused the telly and I heard him in the shower. I went out to the car, started it, left the door open.'
'We had a front door where you had to lock it with a key [from the inside] and we left the key up on the shelf. So I put it up on the shelf outside of the door and closed the door.'
'I walked to the shower room, slid the door open, picked his mobile up, calmly walked back through the kitchen, picked up my handbag and locked the door.'
'He slipped and slithered to the front door like the snake that he is and I saw his hand go to do the handle but obviously the door was locked.'
'I saw him reach up for the key, but the key was in my pocket. I closed the car door, reversed off the drive and drove to a place I knew he wouldn't find me.
'So I was scrolling through all these text messages. At that moment, Terry rang his mobile from the house phone.'
'I answered it and said, 'hello huggy bear, been sh****** your s**g have you?' because that's what she'd called him in a couple of the messages.
'He said no. He didn't realize I could open his phone. He was still lying to get out of it.'
Karen has moved on since breaking up in 2015 and even changed her surname.
Karen said: 'I didn't hear from Carol [after I left the wedding dress] because I changed my phone number.'
'Don't get mad, get even. I was just thinking, wait until he shows his true colors. She has no idea what she let herself in for. The grass is always greener on the other side.'
'I changed my name though. I'm no longer Karen Lovell, I'm Karen Dineen. It was cheaper than getting a divorce.'
When contacted for comment, Terry said: 'Ask [Karen] what she's like to live with and then you might get a real story on why people do cheat on her.'
'When you do eventually go and get in touch with her, tell her to go and get a life. How many people have affairs every single day of their lives? People have affairs every day.'
