Ron Weasley from 'Harry Potter' is going to be a father soon. The actor announced that he and his girlfriend are expecting a baby. Rupert, 31, is dating Georgia since 2011 and the couple is now all set to embrace parenthood.
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint is soon going to be a father. He recently announced that he and his girlfriend Georgia Groome are expecting a baby and would appreciate privacy at this time. Rupert Grint played the role Of Ron Weasley, the best friend of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger in all the seven parts of the Harry Potter movie.
In a statement, a representative for the couple said: "Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time."
Georgia Groome, 28, is famous for her role in the movie 'Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging' as a loveable teenage girl who is trying to overcome the struggles of growing up.
In 2019, the couple was seen wearing matching wedding rings which sparked the rumors of them getting married but the rumors were denied by their spokesperson.
When Rupert turned 30, he told in an interview with The Guardian in 2018 about his hopes to start a family, he said: "Turning 30 felt strange.
"It just doesn't feel like I'm there yet and I don't know what the future holds. I'm just going to go with the flow, keep playing interesting characters and see what happens.
"I'd like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron? It's quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint's a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."
He also told in another interview with the Radio Times: "I think those early ones are OK. More time has passed. I can detach myself a bit more from that kid."
"I did see Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone not long ago, for the first time since the premiere, and I actually enjoyed looking back. But the more recent ones I definitely couldn't do."
When asked in the interview which would be the latest film he'd be willing to watch, he said: "I could probably go up to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."
Rupert was 10 when he started acting in the Harry Potter movie alongside co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. All three of them became stars overnight and then their life was never the same. Dealing with sudden fame at such a young age was not so easy for Rupert.
He told: "I struggle to remember life before it. I think I lost myself a little bit along the way. With fame, you're almost being the character even when you're not in character."
"From the moment I got the part, my life completely changed. It was a weird time and it has taken me a long while to process. Just being invisible can still be difficult. Sometimes you just want to go to B&Q."
