Ryan Hill used gender-swapping filter to make himself look like a woman. He sent the snap to girlfriend Melissa Dunsmore who slammed him for the prank.
In a hilarious turn of events, a guy's Snapchat joke backfired after he fooled his girlfriend into trusting that he was cheating on her. Ryan Hill said he had been left 'sleeping on the couch' and enduring 'major silent treatment' after he took a selfie and used a new gender-swapping filter to make himself resemble a lady.
The 22-year-old from Crossford, Fife, sent the image to his girlfriend from his Snapchat account with the insult: 'I have your boyfriend's t-shirt on.' His rather drastic change was convincing to the point that his girlfriend Melissa Dunsmore, 19, from Fife didn't recognize any similarity to Ryan, and was left smoldering!
Naturally, as any frustrated girlfriend would, she demanded to know why another lady was wearing his garments and told him not to come round after work. Notwithstanding when Ryan clarified the whole situation and offered a timid apology, Melissa was having none of it and cautioned him to remain at a safe distance from her!
Ryan said he is currently enduring 'major silent treatment', however, this did not prevent him from sharing his absolutely hilarious prank via his social media. He posted, "Snapchat has a filter that makes you look like a girl, so I thought it would be a good idea to wind my girlfriend up and send her this. She didn't take it well. See images below."
The selfie with the applied filter demonstrates Ryan with long hair, blushing cheeks, and lipstick. The following arrangement of pictures then demonstrates Melissa's response. She stated, "Are you f****** serious? Don't even bother coming here after work," to which Ryan replied, "Why? What was it," Filled with pure rage, Melissa replied back, "Why the f*** has another girl got your t-shirt on? You're getting blocked."
Subsequent to understanding his joke had horribly backfired, Ryan composed, "That's me you, idiot. Am sorry. I was winding you up. It's a filter. Am being serious," to which Melissa replied, "Awww aye whatever. F*** off. You talk s***. Am f****** fuming. Don't even bother coming here after work."
She went on to state, "It's not funny Ryan, I don't even wanna see you right now. I will end up punching you right in the face. Why would you do that?" Consequently, Ryan pleaded, "Gosh! it's only banter - chill out," Melissa hit back, "Naw it's no. Send me a picture of what I thought was a lassie wearing your t-shirt. Am absolutely raging."
Finally, Ryan said, "I just found the Snapchat filter and tried it and was surprised at how much I actually looked like a girl in it. Without thinking I sent the picture and I assumed she would see that it was me with a filter but she went nuts thinking it was actually another girl. I find it great that people share my sense of humor, but unfortunately, she has now currently fallen out with me and I'm sleeping on the couch with some major silent treatment."
