A 10-year-old girl, Rhythm Pacheco, finished her math homework. Then her mom checked it and found a powerful and beautiful message inside so she shared it online. When Rhythm was doing her maths homework, she came across a question asking her to compare the weights of three women and determine 'how much heavier' Isabelle was than Sue. She found it rude and circled it saying this is offensive. She even wrote a letter to her teacher explaining why she can't answer this question. Her parents are proud of their girl for knowing how strong she is at such a young age.
Her post received an overwhelming response and everybody praised the little girl for being so courageous at such a young age.
When Rhythm was doing her maths homework, she came across a question asking her to compare the weights of three women and determine 'how much heavier' Isabelle was than Sue.
The child found the question inappropriate and rude, she circled it and wrote: "This is offensive. Sorry I won't right this it's rood."
The girl was worried about how her teacher would respond so she wrote a letter to explain her reasons for not answering the question.
“I don’t want to be rude but I don’t think that math problem was very nice because that’s judging people’s weight," she said.
“Also the reason I did not do the sentence is because I just don’t think that’s nice. Love Rhythm."
“Rhythm’s dad and I were extremely proud of Rhythm for listening to her gut instincts and standing up for what is right," said Naomi.
“Rhythm’s teacher was so responsive and handled the situation with such care. She told her she understands how she would be upset about this and that she didn’t have to write out the answer."
