These Brown Sisters have been photographed every year from 1975 till 2014 by photographer Nicholas Nixon. These pictures show four beautiful women aging gracefully, telling us how powerful time can be and how it can change us gradually without us even realizing it.
Photographer Nicholas Nixon was visiting his wife's family when he suddenly decided to take her and her three sisters' picture. Then a year later, at the graduation of one of the sisters, he suggested they line up in the same order. After seeing the result, he asked them if they might do it every year. The sisters were okay with it thus began the most remarkable project from Nixon's career. The series has been exhibited in museums where viewers openly wept and praised Nixon's work. The sisters' names from left are, Heather, Mimi, Bebe, and Laurie where Bebe is the wife of the photographer Nixon. The beautiful pictures showing the sisters going through life’s most humbling experiences make us realize how time is a thief and how everyone won't be here forever.
