Florida’s Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control marks a historic first after all dogs are adopted.

An animal care center in Florida recently uploaded a video celebrating the adoption of every dog in the kennel marking a historic first.

Animal shelters around the world are doing an amazing job taking care of strays and abandoned pets. One such animal care center in Florida dubbed ‘Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control’ has been working tirelessly taking care of animals.

As much as they love these animals, the staff wants them to go to their forever homes as soon as possible since shelter is no place for a pet.
The Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control recently marked a historic first where every single available dog has found their forever home, leaving the kennel completely empty for the first time ever.

The celebration was shown in a video uploaded on their Facebook page where ecstatic staff line the empty cages in the kennel and clap for all the dogs who were adopted.
The caption reads,

“An incredible and joyful thing happened today. For the first time in the history of Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, we have completely emptied one of our three dog kennels!”

The page explained that this is one of the three kennels in the shelter where there are 48 dog runs which can hold two animals each, and are currently completely empty.
Elizabeth Harfmann, the community outreach manager for the shelter, encouraging people to adopt pets, told CNN that the shelter still has 79 animals waiting anxiously to find their forever home, including 32 dogs, two cats, two horses, and a pig named Charlotte.

Since the worldwide lockdown situation, shelters around the world has seen a surge in pet adoption. However, the inflow of pets has also increased as some animals are being surrendered to shelters after their owners lost their jobs, or have fallen ill and can no longer take care of them.
