Eric Trump Gets Roasted For Stealing His Father's Favorite Line: Random People Hug Him With Teary Eyes as They Miss His Dad.

Eric Trump tried to use one of his father’s favorite embellishments during a Fox News appearance on Tuesday night, but people online immediately spotted it. Eric Trump claimed that people hug him and then weep as they explain how much they miss his father, former President Donald Trump.

Eric Trump told Fox News's Sean Hannity on Tuesday night that people are so distraught over his father's absence from the Oval Office that they come up on the street and hug him 'with tears in their eyes.'

It hasn’t even been six months since Donald Trump left the White House and was banned from every social media website going and people are starting to get emotional about his absence.

At least that’s what his son Eric Trump is claiming. The 37-year-old bizarrely told Fox News’s Sean Hannity that random people are now hugging in the street because they miss his father.

He said: “I can tell you more people have come up to me on the street in the last week and given me hugs saying ‘we miss him so much.’
"Sometimes, Sean, with literal tears in their eyes."

Eric Trump continued: "No matter what you say about him he loves this country [and] he's willing to fight for this country."

This isn't the first time a member of the Trump family has claimed that his supporters have gotten touchy-feely.

Per CNN, in a telephone interview with Fox back in March, the former POTUS made the claim that the January 6 Capitol riots had been a non-violent protest, stating:
"It was zero threat, right from the start... Some of them went in, and they are hugging and kissing the police and the guards... a lot of the people were waved in, and then they walked in and they walked out.''

In 2018, Trump told a similar story, supposedly about someone else.
“He was a strong, tough guy, and he was crying. He said, ‘Mr. President, thank you for saving America,’” Trump claimed. “I’m telling you, that man, he was tough. I don’t think he cried when he was a baby.”

Given that history, people were quick to mock Eric Trump for stealing a line out of his dad’s playbook. The Ex-President's son offered literally no evidence for this outpouring of affection for his father which seems suspect at best.

As you can imagine, folks weren’t convinced by Eric’s bold claim and had other ideas as to what was actually going on.
