On Thursday, reports arrived that Johnson had crossed 200 million followers on Instagram, making him the most-followed American man on the social media website. Johnson has more than 300 million followers as you add all the figures from other social media platforms.
As 200 million followers passed on Instagram, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson thanked fans for "giving me space to speak my truth."
A video of himself partying with a bottle of tequila, clad in a white shirt and black bow tie, was shared by the Hollywood actor, 48.
Johnson, better known for films like Jumanji: The Next Level and the franchise of The Fast And The Furious, said he had seen him becoming the most followed man in the US in recent months.
He wrote: “Lesson I learned, as I just surged past 200 million followers.
“Here’s what I’ve learned these past few weeks and maybe, you can find value in this take away and apply it to your own life.
“Always speak your truth.
“And when you do speak your truth – do your best to speak with dignity, compassion, respect, poise and empathy.
“Even when the conversations get uncomfortable – when you approach with respect and care – on the other side of discomfort – is clarity and progress.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the space to speak my truth.”
Johnson ended the video using his own Teremana brand of tequila with a toast.
He announced at the beginning of September that he, his wife, and his two young daughters had tested positive for Covid-19.
Despite being “very disciplined” and being in lockdown since March, Johnson said in an Instagram video that he had ended up catching the “relentless and unforgiving” virus from “very close family friends”.
