Ranga and Violeta later told that they had traveled around the city to buy as many wipes as possible. "It's a big opportunity with all these products. I've got to pay the bills. With a regular job, I won't be making this money... I know it won't last forever," one of them said.

According to the Toronto Star, a Canadian couple took advantage of the Coronavirus pandemic and bought bulks of Lysol wipes from around the Vancouver city.

Manny Ranga and Violeta Perez claim to have made around $100,000 ($72,000 USD) by re-selling them at four times the original price on Amazon.

The two came up with the idea when they were stopped in a Costco parking lot by a woman who offered them double for their purchased supplies. Taking advantage of the panic and fear among the public, they thought to make some money from the situation and buy as many Lysol wipes as possible.

"Everything we do, we're in the moment," Perez said. "We're hustlers."
