This couple found a funny and helpful note from the house's previous owner when they peeled back the wallpapers in their front room in order to redecorate it.

A couple who was redecorating their home in London found a hilarious and helpful note when they peeled back the wallpaper in their front room. The note, which was written in 1997, was from the house's previous owner who warned them to buy 8 rolls of wallpapers instead of 6 unlike him.

Charlotte Morrison and her husband Yariden when peeled back the wallpaper in their front room,  found a helpful note from the house's previous owner.

The prophetic note reads: "If you ever need to wallpaper this room again it will take eight rolls of wallpaper.
 
"I bought just six rolls at £17 per roll, 5/12/97 and I didn't have enough. (It really p***ed me off).
 
"Jon. 21/12/97."

2. Charlotte shared the note on social media where it went viral

Charlotte thanked Jon, she explained on Facebook that the man Jon had been doing up the room in 1997 but unfortunately didn't buy enough wallpaper. The good Jon left advice for the people of the future so that they don't end up buying 6 wallpaper layers instead of 8.

Charlotte shared another post that said: "WE FOUND JON!! A relative of Jon's contacted me! Described our house and correct address.
 
"Only Jon hates social media, instead of statuses he writes notes. I let Jon's relative know that social media thinks he is a legend."

Under that post, one person commented: "I love it!!! I've been there and done that with wallpaper before and it does p*** you off, when you think you've purchased enough - especially if they've discontinued it and you cannot purchase anymore."
 
Another said: "'Why couldn't we have had a helpful fella from the 90s, or why couldn't I be good at maths at least?"
