12-year-old boy left his furry brown puppy in a box outside a shelter house to protect him from his father. He left a letter in the box that said to look after his furry friend. The box also had a toy for the dog so that the dog wouldn't forget him.
On 13 February, Xollin animal shelter in Mexico found a brown box waiting outside their door to be opened. The box was something normal for them but what made it special was the letter inside the boy along with a toy. The letter was written by a 12-year-old boy who told that he left his furry friend here to protect him from his abusive father. He wanted the shelter house to help his puppy and take good care of him. He left his toy, especially so that the dog wouldn't forget him.
A boy, 12, gave his best friend to the shelter house to protect him from his abusive father. What he must have gone through is sad but he did a heroic act that has won our hearts.
Xollin animal shelter, Mexico, opened their door on the morning of 13 February and found a box waiting for them to be opened. This was something normal for the shelter house, but what made it extraordinary was the letter inside the box with a toy.
Inside the box was an adorable little brown puppy.
The emotional letter in the 12-year-old's handwriting said that the boy has left the puppy there in order to protect the little furry from his abusive father.
“My name is Andres and I am 12 years old,” the note reads, in translation. “My mom and I have decided to leave the dog in your hands without my father knowing about it because he wanted to sell it.”
“He beat and kicked it,” Andres explains. “He kicked it so hard once that he hurt its tail. I hope you can help it and look after it.”
In a heartbreaking final line he says he left the toy “so he won’t forget me.”
The kind shelter house immediately took the puppy inside. They named him Rene and published the story on Facebook. Thousands of applicants have volunteered to adopt him, but the shelter has decided to give Rene treatment before giving for adoption.
