As of late, a man in the midst of his vacation in Florida was in for a major shock when he returned to his leased home and found an alligator chilling in the pool on a 'gator raft.  David Jacobs of Georgia had leased a home in Southwest Miami-Dade and initially spotted the gator in a lake behind the home, as per ClickOrlando.



 

"We thought that was pretty cute," Jacobs stated. "Then, the next day, it just showed up in the pool," He was in the town to attend a wedding and said the 'gator was actually attracted by the family's little dog. "My daughter, who’s 14, was like, 'Dad, this is soooo meta,'" Jacobs told New Times.

The gator appeared to be taunting their pooch, Rascal, who went through the day yelping and going around the screened-in pool deck. Consequently, Jacobs' wife informed the Airbnb's owner about the same and he eventually called a wildlife management company.

Fortunately, the official was able to lure the reptile out of the pool. He told Jacobs he's been busy lately because it's mating season for alligators. "I guess it's not that unusual, but it was unusual to me," Jacobs stated. "We have gators in Georgia, but they're just in areas that are not as populated, like some swamp where no one lives."

"But in Florida, they're just in your neighborhoods," he added.
