A serial dater in Japan is arrested after seeing 35 different people at the same time, having multiple relationships, and receiving gifts and cards from all of them. Takashi Miyagawa is a part-time worker of no fixed abode from the Japanese region of Kansai and thought of telling each of his girlfriends of different ages that his birthday was on a different date.
The 39-year-old is arrested with the charges of defrauding 35 women after pretending to be serious about relationships with them. He also proposed to them in a way that he was looking for someone for marriage.
All the 35 victims have accused Miyagawa of swindling them out of £665 worth of birthday presents, clothes, and cash. This counts up to be a big deal. The suspect primarily met his victims while working for a marketing company and some from other places and told each of them a different date of birth when all of them were matched. However his birthday was on November 13, and maybe some lucky lady would have known the actual birthday.
He usually targeted single women and misused their wishes to get married. He always used to throw a marriage card so that these ladies would become more invested in the relationship. However, the women ended up forming a victims’ association and reported Miyagawa to the police in February and he is now arrested.
