4-month old Lillian Grace Borden is a little warrior who has bravely defeated both brain and spinal cord cancer and has successfully rung the bell with the help of her mom. The emotional scene was captured in a video and posted online where it has gone viral since then.

2. After her birth, a nurse noticed that Lily was not able to move her limbs properly

Born on September 5, 2019, Lily was initially born as a perfectly healthy child. In her Gofundme account, her parents recall, "She was not distressed at birth. We held her, she cried, we cried, all was right with the world." However, a nurse soon noticed that Lily was not moving her limbs properly.

3. Reports showed Lily was suffering from an aggressive form of cancer

After an orthopedic specialist was alerted, a subsequent MRI found "an ominous spot on her brain stem." The reports showed that the spot was a tumor that was spreading from the brain to her spinal cord just below the shoulders and it was spreading aggressively. The doctors deemed the tumor inoperable but still proceded with the biopsy.

4. Heartbroken parents were informed that their daughter's condition was inoperable

The results showed that barely a month old little Lily was suffering from a stage 3/4 Glioma brain tumor. Furthermore, the devastated parents were told that because of the location of the tumor  they cannot operate on her.

5. Not all hope was lost

But God was with them in this matter and not all hope was lost. Lily's parents later came to know about the recently approved targeted form of chemotherapy for tumors of a certain genetic makeup.

6. With no time to lose the treatment was immediately started

Having no time to waste the family immediately spring into action. Lily began chemo treatment on October 2, and a follow-up MRI showed the tumor had become slightly smaller. Lily's Gofundme page explains, "By the time the second round of treatment was scheduled three weeks later, they had received approval for the targeted therapy. Her first MRI three weeks after use of the targeted therapy showed NO SIGN OF THE TUMOR."

7.  "We would have lost everything. I've never met such amazing people in my whole life."

After three more week-long targeted therapy sessions, Lily was finally declared cancer-free on January 25, 2020. In a video posted on social media, Lily's mom Leann could be seen ringing the bell with her baby girl. "We are so grateful to everyone here for everything you did," a tearful Leann says in the clip. "We would have lost everything. I've never met such amazing people in my whole life."

With both her parents by her side, the little angel reaches up with mom's help to ring the bell and announce to the world that she has won her battle. "We thank everyone who has been with us this whole time," Leann captioned the now-viral video. "From all of the donations, text messages and prayers. We hope you enjoy this video! And now [Lily's] name will be hung forever."

As of writing, the campaign has raised $10,410 of its $15,000 goal. Its organizer, Shari Borden, explained those funds will go towards easing the financial burden placed on the family from traveling for Lily's treatments and missing months of work.
