11-Year-Old BRIBED New Zealand Prime Minister To Fund Dragon Research!

It's not common to receive a letter from the Prime Minister of New Zealand. But for one girl, that's exactly what happened after she tried to bribe her.

Recently, in a truly unforeseen development, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern dismissed a 'bribe' from an 11-year-old girl who composed a letter requesting that the government should conduct dragon research. The girl, distinguished just as Victoria, wanted to be granted telekinetic powers so that she could turn into a dragon trainer.


The hilariously crafty 11-year-old dragon-lover likewise included NZ$5 ($3.20) with her letter, clearly as a payoff. Replying back on the official letterhead, Ms. Ardern said her administrations was 'not currently doing any work in... psychics and dragons.'

In any case, in a purely hilarious hand-written note, she included, "P.S. I'll still keep an eye out for those dragons. Do they wear suits?" The letter trade initially came to light on web forum Reddit after an image of the PM's answer was posted by a user who asserted his younger sibling had attempted to 'bribe Jacinda.'

The Reddit user likewise said his youngest sister wanted the government to 'make [dragons] telekinetic... and wanted to find out what they know about dragons and if they had found any yet, so she could train them.' Naturally, the people of Reddit couldn't keep their laughter to themselves and praised the 11-year-old girl's guts.

Various replies included, "Reasonable. good thinking ahead. Your sister sounds rad," Clarifying the offbeat demand, the student's sibling said her enthusiasm for telepathy originates from the Netflix Sci-Fi show Stranger Things, which highlights telepathy and telekinesis - the ability to move things utilizing just one's brain.

Moreover, the prime minister's office (PMO) affirmed to the BBC that Ms. Ardern's 30 April reply is certifiable. In it, she expressed gratitude toward Victoria for connecting, and composed, "We were very interested to hear your suggestions about psychics and dragons, but unfortunately we are not currently doing any work in either of these areas." 


"I am therefore returning your bribe money, and I wish you all the very best in your quest for telekinesis, telepathy, and dragons," she further wrote. Surprisingly, this isn't the first run through Ms. Ardern, who conceived a daughter a year ago, has answered to a young girl's letter.


Previously, in March, one Twitter user posted a letter that was supposedly sent from Ms. Ardern because of an eight-year-old girl who had said it was a 'good idea to ban dangerous guns,' To which Ms. Ardern replied, "I can tell from your letter that you are a kind and compassionate girl, Lucy. I would just like to encourage you to keep spreading that kindness through your life."
